Patron Program — How It Works

This program turns ideas into real choral projects with clear agreements, transparent funding,
and appropriate recognition. Choose your role to see the specifics.

At a Glance

Project match: a commission, album, or premiere opportunity is identified.
Scope & goals: we align artistic scope, timeline, budget range, and expected impact.
Direct support: donations go to the commissioning organization (not to me).
Artistic contract: that organization then contracts me with clear milestones/deliverables.

For Individual Patrons & Gift Commissions

Dedicate a new piece, support a premiere, or help an album come to life.
Your donation goes to the choir/university/nonprofit producing the project; they issue the receipt.
The institution contracts me separately to compose/produce and deliver the work.
Recognition options: credited by name, custom dedication text, or fully anonymous.
Typical planning window: 6–16 months depending on scope and calendar.

For Choirs & Universities (receiving support)

Goal: premiere, album production, or large-scale performance (e.g., with orchestra).
Plan together: artistic scope, timeline, budget range, and impact for your community.
Funding path: I can present your project to patrons. If there’s a match, donations go directly to your institution (ideal if you’re a nonprofit/University).
Contracting: after the donation, your institution contracts me with clear milestones.
What to prepare: ensemble profile, dates window, repertoire/forces, recording or premiere goals.
Typical window: 4–12 months (or 9–18 for orchestra/collaborations).

For Institutions, Foundations & Events

Concept first: we define the story/purpose and how the premiere fits your exhibition, fair, or conference.
Team assembly: I source and coordinate a professional choir suitable for your event and venue.
Funding flow: donors (yours or from the patrons network) donate to your institution; then your institution contracts me with milestones/deliverables.
What you bring: date window, venue info, budget range, and mission alignment.
Typical window: 6–16 months depending on scope/venue calendar.

Quick question

Money Flow & Transparency

Donations go directly to the institution (not to me).
The institution hires me under a separate artistic agreement with milestones/deliverables.
Clear budget outline, timeline checkpoints, and named deliverables (score, parts, assets).

Tax Considerations

Many institutions are registered nonprofits (e.g., U.S. 501(c)(3)), which may enable tax-deductible donations.
Rules vary by country and personal situation—consult your advisor. I can connect you with the institution for documentation.
